Official White House cards produced by the Gerald Ford administration thanking the recipient and the American people for their support after the resignation of Richard Nixon and the issues that were 'put to rest" from the Watergate event. " It is encouraging to have the goodwill and support of the American people. Working together, I know we can go forward in peace with other nations and in progress here at home.". The card includes the gold embossed presidential seal at the top along with the printed signature of President Ford at the bottom.
This is part of a large group of these cards we recently acquired from an individual whose relative worked for the government in Washington, D.C. at the time. All the cards have the gold embossed presidential seal at the top and are in mint condition. The cards measure 6" x 3 1/2

Acknowledgement and Thank You Cards have been regularly produced by White House administrations for decades. It is widely acknowledged that the Nixon Administration took this to an extreme level by producing a multitude of different cards for various occasions, including such events as a youngster obtaining the rank of Eagle Scout.
