Considered an inauguration cover although no formal public ceremony took place. Unaddressed and postmarked in washington D.C. on December 19, 1974 the day Nelson Rockefeller became Vice President of the United States.

Nelson Rockefeller became the 41st Vice President of the United States from 1974-1977. He served under President Gerald Ford. He was also the 49th Governor of New York from 1959-1973.
