Very interesting and rare original Delegate badge credential from the 1844 Democratic National Convention that was held in Baltimore, Maryland, that nominated James Polk for President. It is a paper badge from the Massachusetts Delegation that appears to be a printers proof based on the double image. Few items exist from this early convention. It features a graphic of a native American with a bow and arrow in the center. This is the third, at last, one of these rare tickets we acquired. Original, of course.
