Original and rare ticket to the 1885 inauguratoin of Grover Cleveland as President, and Thomas Hendricks as Vice President, of the United States. This is a numbered ticket that admits the bearer to the Senate Wing for the actual inaugural ceremonies. It is stamped at the top right W.P. Canady, Sergeant at Arms.
This ticket is listed in the Krohn "Presidential Inauguration Collectibles Catalog" as number CT1885 with a catalog price of $1,500. Our price is less than half that amount for this rare ticket.

William P. Canady was the Sergeant at Arms of the Senate from December 1883 to June 30, 1890.
