1969. Original poster, in black on white stock, measuring a large 22.75" x 17.75") Produced after comedian and political activist Dick Gregory's failed 1968 run for presidency as a write-in candidate for the Freedom and Peace Party which broke off from the Peace and Freedom Party, that had elected Eldridge Cleaver as their presidential nominee. Designed in the style of a typical "Wanted" flyer, with mugshot-like photographs of Gregory, the word "Needed" rather than "Wanted". Very interesting and dramatic black political history and Vietnam era poster.
We were fortunate to have recently acquired a large group of these historic posters. As a result of this purchase, we are offering the poster to our customers at less than half what they normally sell for.
