Paper ballot with where voters were instructed to place their "mark within in the circle" . Interesting piece of North Carolina history. Each of the ballots are marked in pencil for Lyndon Johnson.
Details
As chairman of the state Board of Elections in 1964, he oversaw hearings into voting irregularities in Madison County, which led to the overturned election of political boss Zeno Ponder.
