Button that disparages FDR and the very controversial "CAPTAIN" issue during the 1940 presidential campaign. In 1940, Roosevelt's son Elliott enlisted in the United States Army Air Corps and was very quickly made a Captain, bypassing the normal procedure for attaining that rank. It became a very hot issue with the public during the Willkie vs. Roosevelt campaign
