Issued to a reporter from the Passaic Herald-News for the final news conference held by outgoing President Dwight Eisenhower just days before the inauguration of President John F. Kennedy. Includes the Seal of the President at the upper left and teh stamped siganture of James Hagerty, White House press secretary at the lower right. Original.
Eisenhower advocated for a constitutional amendment that would allow future presidents to take office sooner. He recommended that they be in office at least eighty days before congress meets.
