Elect Ed Scholl State Senator Illinois Coat-tails button from the 1972 presidential campaign of Richard Nixon. Interestingly, Nixon is just a minor player on this button along with Richard Ogilvie for Governor and two other candidates. Orignal, not often seen, and attractively priced.
Republican Ed Scholl ran,and run, for the Illinois Senate in 1972 but was defeated in 1974. It has also been reported that Scholl was indicted for taking zoning bribes while he was an alderman, and he was convicted and incarcerated.
