Exquisite hand carved and hand painted statue of President John F. Kennedy wood figure measuring 8.5" tall. From master carvers Gunnersson from Stockholm Sweden and inscribed with the carvers name on the bottom of the bottom of the foot. The Gunnerssons were were well known for their flat-plane style carving out of one piece of wood. Original.
One of several different Presidents hand carved by Gunnerssons, each one unique. Without a doubt one of our favorite items.
Flat-plane style of woodcarving is a style of figure carving where the figures are carved in large flat planes, using a carving knife with very little rounding or sanding is done.
