Authentic u.s. navy free frank (no postage required) envelope from Newsday publisher, naval aviator and aviation enthusiast Harry Guggenheim. Sent by Guggenheim June 22, 1945 to a Walter Moulton in Port Wasington, New York. Has free frank signature in upper left corner of Guggenheim which is probably rubber stamped. . Nice piece of Long Island, Newsday, aviation and naval history.
Details
Guggenheim became Editor and Publisher of Newsday after his third wife, Alicia Patterson, died. They established Newsday in 1940 together.
