During the 2016 presidential campaign, Hillary Clinton launched a campaign called the Forty-Five Pin Project to support her campaign for President. The 45 referring to the winner of the campaign would be come the 45th President of the United states. 45 pins were produced, both in 1" and 3" sizes, each with the designers name on the edge/curl of the button. 19 original buttons included
Clinton's campaign literature described it this way "“Campaign buttons tell the story of a campaign and a candidate,” reads a project description on Clinton’s website. “To help tell Hillary’s story, we invited 45 artists and graphic designers to create button designs that embody why they support Hillary. "
