This is an original and authentic button from the 1860 campaign of Abraham Lincoln for President and Hannibal Hamlin for Vice President. This is a ferrotype style button. Around the rim it says "The Constitution and the Laws 1860". Tintype photo of Abraham Lincoln in the center along with the full name "Abraham LIncoln" surrounding the photo. The reverse has the words "Union of the States 1860 " around the rim, and a a photo of Hamlin and the words Hannibal Hamlin surrounding his photo. An amazing piece of american history. Seldom seen variety with the lettering on the photos in calligraphy style.
