This is an original and authentic button from the 1864 campaign of Abraham Lincoln for President and Andrew Johnson for Vice President. This is a scarce ferrotype style button with a vertical rectangular design frame in the center. The front of the button has a photo of Presidential candidate Abraham Lincoln The reverse has a photo of Lincoln's running mate for Vice President Hannibal Hamlin. Frame is holed at top for suspension, as originally made. From Lincoln's second presidential campaign. In reasonable condition for its age, but certainly not a pristine example - but one that is priced low accordingly. Typically sells for significantly more in ideal condition.
