Original Congressional Inauguration Ceremonies Program from the 1949 inauguration of Harry S. Truman as President of the United States. The program includes the original red,white and blue tassel still attached and the presidential seal embossed on the front. This program was sent by congressional offices to VIP's who were invited to attend the inauguration.
Details
Congressional invitations and programs were sent to dignitaries, VIP's and large contributors, as a souvenir of the inauguration and often included the actual ticket to the ceremonies.
