Kennedy, Senator and Mrs. Edward "Ted" Kennedy sent out cards to individuals who expressed their condolences to the Kennedy family upon the death of Edward Kennedy's brother Robert Kennedy. "Our heartfelt appreciation for your thoughtfulness and your prayers - Senator and Mrs. Edward M. Kennedy". These cards were sent for several years after the assassination.
