Speech about the state of the nation and of the world powers. Refers to the Military Academy, the creation of a manufacturing plant for making cannons and thegun powder . Van Buren also discusses the removal of the Indians to western side of the Mississippi River. Says the Choctaws, Cherokees and other tribes have already made their trect across the river, with many other tribes to be forced into the march.
