Huge silk authentic banner with gold trim that originally hung at the Presidential inauguration of Richard M. Nixon and Spiro Agnew.
"The Spirit of '76" was the theme for Nixon's second inaugural. Obviously, Nixon expected to still be in office when the nation was to celebrate its bicentiennial in 1976. But ironically, Nixon resigned from the Presidency three years before the event.
Measures 72" high by 44". So big we had to stand on a desk to get the whole banner in the photos. Great statement piece for your library, museum, office or den. Came with grommets at the top for easier hanging. Original, of course.
