This particular book bares the name of the owner Benjamin Eggleston on the cover. Eaggleston was a Presidential elector for Abraham Lincoln in 1860. He served as a member of the Ohio Senate from 1862-1865.
Published prior to Library of Congress numbers. Published by the Government Printing Office by order of Congress on February 12, 1866 in memory of Abraham Lincoln. The book is written as an oratory - recalling in often flowery detail the story of his life, the significance of his accomplishments, and the end of slavery.
