Original scarf from the 1972 inaugural of Rihard Nixon. Produced by Frankie Welch as one of a series of items he has produced for various inaugurals. American fashion designer and socialite Frankie Welch, best known for dressing First Lady Betty Ford, designed limited edition political theme scarves on both sides of the political fence. This red, white and blue Nixon 1972 campaign theme scarf features a dark blue spiral circle with the slogan "Forward Together" around dark and light blue letters N. The slogan is repeated again as a border. Red, white and blue borders. The scarf has two printed signatures: Richard M. Nixon and by Frankie Welch. Scarf measures 19" x 19" approximately.
