Very attractive multi-page program from the 1896 Union League Banguet commemorating the 75th birthday of General Ulysses Grant, April 27, 1896. Beautiful soft leather program with original ribbons still attached. Portrait of President Grant on the cover and graphic of his birthplace on the first inside page. The program includes the list of signitaries offering Toasts, including one by President Grover Cleveland. Includes the menu from the evening.  

Also includes the invitation to the event and the seating assignment chart. 

The invitation and program were issued to William H. Armstrong iArmstrong was a judge, member of the House of Representatives from Pennsylvania. Original.
