1912 National Progressive Convention Delegate Badge from the convention that nominated former President Theodore Roosevelt for president. Unusual in that this version of the badge has a rectangular bar at the top with the designation DELEGATE at the top while most others we have seen have a U.S. Capitol design at the top. This is the nomination following Teddy Roosevelt's walk out from the 1912 Republican National Convention that renominated President Taft. Roosevelt and Taft would go on to lose the 1912 general election to Woodrow Wilson. A piece of memorabilia from Theodore Roosevelt's famous run as the Presidential nominee of the Bull Moose Party. Not in perfect condition (see below) but priced right compared to ones in very good condition selling in the $500 to $600 range. Original.
