1920 Democratic National Convention Permanent Secretary Badge - The convention nominated James Cox for President, and future President Franklin D. Roosevelt for Vice President.  Oval brass header with San Francisco, A at top & 2 bars suspending title of Permanent Secretary and blank for a name. Red, white and blue ribbon suspends wreath encircled Thomas Jefferson with details around. We don't' recall ever seeing a badge from this convention with suspending bars for officials and designees and we were beginning to think that the convention organizers decided not to issue badge with bars that year. Or perhaps this may have been a sample and that is why the second bar is blank. Original.
