Hoover was later defeated by Franklin Roosevelt. Bronze header with raised title at center and eagle with Republican National Convention on banners above and Chicago 1932 below. Short red, white and blue ribbon suspends squared shield medal with George Washington at center. Original

Historical Notes

The first Republican national convention was hold in Philadelphia, June 17-19, 1856. Abraham Lincoln was unsuccessful in his attemp to become the Vice Presidential candidate.
