Invitation card to meet with President Elect and Mrs. Roosevelt right after the end of the 1933 Inaugural Parade held for Franklin D. Roosevelt's first term in office. The invitation was issued to Mr. & Mrs. Horace M. Albright. Albright became the director the National Park Service and led the expansion of national parks, and was a member of the 1933 Inaugural Committee. In 1980 he was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by President Jimmy Carter. On the reverse of the card there is a handwritten note that says "This came to us as I was a member of the Inaugural Committee.". Original. 

Historical Notes

The nation's highest civilian award, the Presidential Medal of Freedom was was awarded to Albright by President Jimmy Carter on the 64th anniversary of the National Park Service.
