Original badge from the 1946 Indiana Republican  Convention that later nominated Thomas Dewey for the Republican nomination for President of the United States. This particular collectible was has three parts. Part One, is a header identifying the person as being a Delegate to the convention. Part Two, is a ribbon that says "Republican State Convention Indianapolis June 1946 and part 3 is the bottom bronze medal with a GOP logo elephant graphic. A very similar design was used two years later for the National Convention. 

Historical Notes

The 1948 Republican National Convention was held at the Municipal Auditorium, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, from June 21 to 25, 1948.
