John F. Kennedy 1958 U.S. Senate Re-Election Campaign Pledge Sheet – Unused JFK Supporter Form. Original 1958 John F. Kennedy U.S. Senate re-election campaign pledge sheet, headed He Has Served All Massachusetts With Distinction!” and prominently featuring Kennedy's name.

The form declares, “I pledge my support for the re-election of Senator John F. Kennedy,” with spaces for 20 supporters to provide their names, addresses and telephone numbers. The bottom directs completed sheets to Kennedy for Senator Headquarters, 150 Tremont Street, Boston.

This example remains completely unused, providing an interesting look at the grassroots organizational efforts of Kennedy's final Massachusetts campaign before his successful run for President just two years later. Original.

Historical Notes

John F. Kennedy entered the U.S. Senate in 1953 after defeating Republican incumbent Henry Cabot Lodge Jr. in the 1952 Massachusetts election. In 1958, Kennedy sought his second Senate term and overwhelmingly defeated Republican Vincent J. Celeste. The landslide victory further enhanced Kennedy's national political standing as he prepared for his historic 1960 presidential campaign.
