1967 White House Wedding of Lynda Bird Johnson Artifacts. Lynda Bird Johnson Robb is the elder of the two daughters of the 36th U.S. President Lyndon B. Johnson and his First Lady Lady Bird Johnson. From her December 9, 1967 wedding held at The White House, to Marine Corp Captain Charles Robb. We have offered the program before, but never this extensive a group of original items from the wedding. Would make a marvelous display. Includes the following:

1. The official twenty page program

2. A silver and red gift box given to attendees that was is the shape of a heart with what we believe is a chocolate candy inside. (but its been over 50 years please don't eat the candy!)

3. A traditional bag of rice given to attendees to toss at the bride and groom at the end of the ceremony.

4. A White House thank you card from Lynda and Chuck "as an expression of their deep appreciation for making December 9 such a perfect day."

5. What we assume was some type of table decoration from the wedding event.

From the collection of a former White House staff member

Historical Notes

This was only the 15th wedding ever held at the White House.
