Rare Complete Set of Air Force One VIP Guest Candy Dishes , one each for the seven Presidents of the United States for which the beautiful dishes were created. These are the smoked glass candy dishes given to those lucky individuals who flew or visited Air Force One during the administrations of John F. Kennedy, Lyndon Johnson, Richard Nixon, Gerald Ford, Jimmy Carter, Ronald Reagan and George Bush. They were produced by the Houz company for The White House, these dishes have become a favorite with collectors. This is a unique opportunity to acquire one each of the seven presidents that these attractive candy dishes were created for. Individual dishes are sometimes seen but this is the first time we have had the privilege of selling a complete set (not including variations of the set that were produced with different signatures and also for Marine One, some of which will be sold separately. Don't let this opportunity pass you by, the John F Kennedy dish alone has sold at auction for up to $1,600. Original.
From the personal collection of 50-year long collector from the East Coast whose family is a descendant of former President Herbert Hoover.
Air Force One is one of the most recognizable symbols of the president, and the American culture. The presidential aircraft is emblazoned with the words “United States of America,” the American flag, and the Seal of the President of the United States.
