1986 Bill Clinton Birthday Party Signed Memorabilia as Arkansas Governor. Clever and memorabilia items from Bill Clinton 40th Birthday Party event with a great party logo featuring Clinton riding a trycyle and the slogan "Bill Clinton is 40". The set includes the event's t-shirt, button and poster personally given to Gary Burhop by Hillary Clinton who had then Govenror of Arkansas Bill Clinton sign and inscribe it to Mr Burhop who, at the time was in public affairs and ran a political action committee. Original and unique signed item with accompanying pieces that would look great framed. A great set of memorabilia from Clinton's early days as Governor of Arkansas. Certainly a super conversation piece.
Mr. Burhop recalls that the event as a birthday party that also functioned as a fundraising event for Clinton's re-election campaign as Governor. It is his understanding that Hillary designed the party's tricyle theme.
From Gary Burhop's personal collection. Interestingly, nearly twenty-years earlier he served on republican Richard Nixon's campaign staff which likley partially explains his "love/hate relationship with Clinton. He .also calls "the best poltician I've ever known".
During the same week that Clinton addressed the governor's conference he commented that he wasn't sure "whether this would be a milestone or millstone year for the first of the "over the hill baby boomers."
