1916 Progressive Party (Bull Moose) Convention Delegate Badge. WIth Whitehead & Hoag Co. marked on the reverse.  In 1916 the  Progressive Party (also known as the Bull Moose Party) nominated Theodore Roosevelt for President. The Party sought a reunification with the Republican Party and Roosevelt declined the Progressive Party's nomination.  Original, but with heavy tarnish which is why it is priced less than half of what we have seen ones in very good condition sell for.

Historical Notes

The Republican National Convention eventually nominated Charles Evan Hughes as their candidate, whom Roosevelt endorsed.
