1861 General Scott vs Jefferson Davis Bulldog Civil War Cover. Original 1861 Civil War patriotic cover with a red & blue illustration captioned "Don't See It", depicting Gen. Winfield Scott as a big bulldog, wearing a flag, challenging a little frightened dog with "Davis" on its collar (Jefferson Davis) to take a rack of meat labeled "Washington", and saying "Why Don't You Take It?" Original and unused. 

From a large collection of Civil War historical covers/envelopes is very fine condition that we recently purchased.
