Scarce Camp David Pewter Plate With Engraved Signatures of 12 U.S. Presidents. Collectible plate issued with the Camp David iconic front entrance logo in the center and the engraved signatures of twelve presidents of the United States, starting with Franklin D. Roosevelt and ending with George W. Bush. It beings with Franklin Roosevelt, since camp David was originally built in 1938 during the second term of FDR. Interestingly, the plate that ended with Bill Clinton is a bit easier to find than the George W. Bush. Original.
Nestled in the Catoctin Mountain Park in Frederick County, Maryland, is Camp David, a retreat for use by the President of the United States. Officially a U.S. Navy installation, the facility was originally built by the Works Progress Administration as a camp for government employees, opening in 1938.
