This very attractive set includes a ballpoint pen, pencil and presentation box. All maroon metal with gold metal trim, twist activated ball point pen and pencil. Cap imprinted in gold with Dan Quayle signature. Clip affixed with Vice Presidential Seal plaque. Solid gray velvet presentation case imprinted on gold on the top inside with the VIce Presidential Seal. White cardboard protective cover. Original, produced by the Bradley company and includes their descriptive brochure. .
In the 1988 vice-presidential debate, Dan Quayle, compared himself to John F. Kennedy. A very famous reply by Democratic vice-presidential candidate Lloyd Bentsen occurs, where Bentsen said:
