Parker brand pen with silver metal brushed removable cap blue plastic body imprinted on two lines with Department of Defense seal and signature of Paul Thayer on one line and Deputy Secretary of Defense on second line. Presentation cae is blue with silver metal trim and a tan interior. Scarce pen considering Thayer spend only a short time in the President's cabinet before he went to prison for insider training.
Thayer served as President Reagan's Deputy Secretary in 1981 for one year when he then resigned after the SEC charged him with insider trading. He pleaded guilty and served time in prison.
