Rare Senate impeachment ticket to the trial of President Richard Nixon. ''United States Senate, Impeachment of the President, Admit Member - House of Representatives to the Senate Floor, October 7, 1974.'' With facsimile signature of the U.S. Senate's Sergeant at Arms. Ticket stub, still attached. It says: ''United States Senate Galleries, October 7, 1974.'' Nixon's resignation on August 9 made the tickets, which had already been printed absolete and highly collectible. Orignal
On July 27, 1974, the Committee voted that the president be impeached, claiming he had "prevented, obstructed, and impeded the administration of justice," they listed nine specific reasons for the charge.
