Coffee with the Kennedys paper coffee cup promoting John F. Kennedy for president, 1960. These small 6-ounce) cups stand about 3 1/4" high and were used at meetings of Kennedy supporters held during broadcasts of the televised program "Coffee with Senator and Mrs. John F. Kennedy" and issued by the Women's Committee of the Democratic National Committee. There were two slightly different versions of these paper coffee cups that were produced. This one, which is harder to find says "Coffee With The Kennedys" and a second version that is more common says "Coffee With Kennedy" An original that belongs in every Kennedy collection.
Campaign collectibles helped to ease television’s entry into the home and into the heart of American political culture. During the 1960 presidential campaign the Democratic National Committee distributed paper cups encouraging voters to watch the new morning television program, Coffee with Senator and Mrs. Kennedy.
