Scarce "Committee of One Million For Richard M Nixon" Charter Membership Card. An interesting card identifying the holder as a charter member of the Committee of One Million for Richard M. Nixon. With printed facsimile signature of Maurice Stans who was the finance chairman of the Committee for the Re-Election of the President (Nixon) and who was convicted on multiple counts under the Federal Election Campaign Act during the Watergate investigation.
There are also two other particularly interesting points regarding this card. 1) The red,white and blue stylized "N" logo was rather quickly withdrawn from the campaign as some people believed that it was too close to the lightning bolt design used by the SS. 2) There is very little known about the so-called "committee" and how, if it at all, related to the Committee of One Million that protested against Communist China's admission to the United Nations, and the reality that Nixon opened the door to China's membership in the U.N.
