Historical Notes

Dawes was not only a banker and politician, but also a composer who had won a Pulitzer Prize for his musical composition "The American Epic". As part of his campaign efforts, Dawes wrote a campaign song called "O-K, O-K, O-K," which he performed at rallies and events.
