The fight for the 1952 Republican nomination for President included four key candidates one of which was Earl Warren of California. This badge is from the Repubilcan convention and promotes Warren for the nomination. At the top is the official California State bear along with a name plate bearing the name "Mrs. Chester Hanson, Los Angeles", wife of Newspaper man and conservative reporter Chip Hanson, attached is a ribbon "Guest / 1952 California Republican Delegation WARREN" and then a California badge seal. Original.
The battle of the Repubilcan nomination was between General Dwight D. Eisenhower,Senator Robert A. Taft, Governor Earl Warren and former Governor Harold Stassen.
