Nice collectible badge from a  member of the Inaugural Committee for Dwight Eisenhower and Richard Nixon's 1953 first term as President and Vice President. Original. With top piece saying "Inaugural Committee" with an inaugural seal hanging from small purple ribbon that says "Member". Backed by the original red, white and blue ribbon. (See condition description below). 

Historical Notes

Eisenhower's 1953 inauguration marked the first time a president rode in a bulletproof car. The ceremony featured 22,000 participants in the parade. Eisenhower recited his oath of office on two Bibles, one he used at West Point and another George Washington used in 1789
