Photograph of First Lady Eleanor Roosvelt. Stamped on reverse May 11, 1944. The photo was taken during Mrs. Roosevelt's trip to Pennsylvania in 1944, during the height of World War II. Original photograph that was likely taken by a newspaper photographer.
During the First Ladies visit to Pennsylvania she attended the opening of an exhibit at the Freedom House that chronicled the resistance by underground organizations in Europe.
