1968 Hubert Humphrey Campaign Textile Scarfs By Designer Frankie Welch. Interesting campaign item designed in four panels by fashion designer Frankie Welch for the 1968 presidential campaign of Hubert Humphrey. The design was used to create various items including scarves, aprons, dresses etc. This one is large to be a scarf and the unfinished edges suggest it was part of a larger design or intended to be cut into separate panels. Either way it makes an interesting campaign display.

Historical Notes

Frankie Welch was a fashion designer from Georgia who designed scarves and other items for political figures. Interestingly, her clients included both republican and democratic politicians.
