Very nice conversation piece. Preparing for the November 15, 2004 issue of Newsweek magazine, the staff did not yet know who would win that years hotly contested presidential election. Would it be the Democratic candidate John Kerry, or the incumbent, George W. Bush As the press deadline approached, unsure of the outcome and preparing ahead, Newsweek magazine staff hurridly produced several different covers for their next issue. Including, one that announced John Kerry - How He Did It and a bold photo of the new President-Elect on the cover. The second cover, featured a photo of President Bush and "How He DId It". This limited edition and original proof plaque was presented to members of the Newsweek production staff in appreciation of the tough 28+ hour days they spent preparing alternative issues and covers. This plaque comes directly from one of the key members of the Newsweek production staff. The heavy laminated wooden plaques include proof copies of the rarely seen front covers of both versions of the magazines. A total of only 100 to 150 plaques were produced as issued to the Newsweek staff. A rare collectible for the George W. Bush collector that wishes to celebrate his hard fought election, the John Kerry collector who think about "what could have been", or the political collector who covets rare and interesting pieces of political history for a den, library or museum.
