During his lifetime the President would visit the Gerald R Ford Presidential Library & Museum in Grand Rapids, Michigan for events and speeches 3-4 times a year. Each time Dan Hansen and his family attended the event and on this occassion in 1996 he asked the President if he would sign these cards for his children, which Mr. Ford graciously agreed to do.
