1932 Herbert Hoover Official Postmaster Appointment Document. With printed signatures of both President Herbert Hoover and Postmaster General Walter F Brown. Appoints a Dilworth Baird as Postmaster at Tempe, Arizona. With the official Post Office Department embossed logo at the bottom left.
President Herbert Hoover's administration saw significant postal reforms under Postmaster General Walter F. Brown. Together, they modernized mail services, with Brown leading the 1930 "Brown Bill," which restructured air mail routes to improve efficiency. This partnership emphasized innovation, aligning with Hoover's engineering mindset. However, controversies over air mail contracts later emerged, casting a shadow on their achievements in postal modernization.
