1970 Nixon White House Visit In Honor of Mrs. Ferdinand Marcos. This program is from the the somewhat hush-hush visit of the First Lady of the Philippines to the Nixon White House in September 1970 around the same time that the world laughed at her reported 3,000 pairs of shoes. This event took place on September 22, 1970 at The White House with the Johnny Mann Singers providing the entertainment under the title "So Proudly We Hail" a musical salute to America. 4 pgs. Original, with the Seal of the President gold embossed at the top. Original.

During her visit to The White House, Imelda Marcos asked for some $23 million in CIA covert funding. The money was to be used to buy political support to elect pro-Marcos delegates to the Constitutional Convention two months later.
