Includes the event menu and program which lists the speakers which included President Franklin Delano Roosevelt and Speaker of the House William Bankhead and a long list of guests. 24 pages. Includes very attractive portraits of presidents Franklin D. Roosevelt and Andrew Jackson. The event was held at the Mayflower Hotel in the City of Washington, January 8th, 1940. Original.
A Jefferson–Jackson Dinner is a traditionally an annual fundraising celebration held by the Democratic Party and named after President Andrew Jackson who, along with Thomas Jefferson, is often referred to as the founders of the party.
