1976 Democratic National Convention Delegate Badge. The convention nominated Jimmy Carter and Walter Mondale for President and Vice President. Comes with the original box with the convention seal on the top of the box. Also included is the Honorary Badge insert, and of course, the original Badge with the Great Seal of the United States at the top and a medallion hanging from a short red, white and blue ribbon which reads Democratic National Convention, New York City, 1976. A second larger back ribbon reads "Delegate". Original.
At the 1976 Democratic National Convention, the New York Host Committee (“Citizens’ Committee for the Democratic National Convention, Inc.”) actually retained a lawyer on 24-hour standby in case of legal emergencies
