1960 Carters Warehouse Plains Georgia 8 Different Original Bills & Invoices. Certainly something you don't see every day! Set of ten different bills & invoices addressed to "Carters Warehouse" in Plains Georgia, where President Jimmy Carter and family owned and operated their famous peanut farming business. The documents are all from 1960, before Carter ran for State Senate, Governor of Georgia and then President of the United States.  This is part of the set of Carter peanut farm / warehouse that we acquired. Interestingly, one of the invoices includes two 55 gallon drums of the chemical that was banned in 1972. Original. 

Historical Notes

According to the government Center for Disease Control and Prvention. Dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane (DDT) is an insecticide used in agriculture. The United States banned the use of DDT in 1972. Some countries outside the United States still use DDT to control of mosquitoes that spread malaria.
